If the phone does not support text messaging, it cannot be viewed, you just wasted 10 cents.

YES YOU CAN!! WITH BT!!

When I get text messages to my home phone the phone rings and when you pick it up it is silent but then it says you have one new text message received from( number) at (time) on (date) and then an automated voice will read the message out to you.
Sometimes they are hard to understand.

Well I know BT will 'speak' the message to the caller instead of it being viewed.
