Clarification: I was looking for the last Goalie Fight in the NHL, however Any great classic goalie fight is also worth mentioning. Hope this helps clarify everything.

The last time two goalies fought was last year. Phillip Sauve of Calgary fought David Abeischer of Colorado. Those two were actually teammates years before but something went off and they fought. And then two days later Phillip Sauve was traded to Phoenix. Also later on that year, Abeischer was traded to Montreal for Jose Theodore.

I'm not sure about the last fight but the best has to be Detroit VS Colorado(when hockey was hockey)and Patrick WAH WAH WAH!picked a fight with two of the smallest men in the NHL at the time and lost both times he sure made his way in hockey history as the biggest fool in the game.Did you notice he retired just before the rules changed to smaller goalie gear(no more superman outfits ,huge gloves, blockers ect..and no more WAH WAH! from Roy. he knew he couldn't handle the change and keep his numbers going so he quit (probably the smartest thing he did in his career.Who ended up bloody and on their back and out of the game for good.

The last time I remember was April 1, '98-the Red Wings vs. the Avalanche--Chris Osgood vs. Patrick Roy, as well as the previous year when Mike Vernon fought Roy. I'm probably wrong and there was a more recent one however

The Roy/Osgood fight:

The Roy/Vernon fight:

The Roy/Vernon fight was part of the larger brawl vs. Colorado & Detroit when Darren McCarty took on Claude Lemieux

Has more to it.

Someone above mentioned Esche/Lalime in 2004. The backup goalie for the Sens at the time also had a fight (Prusek) in that same year. I don't remember hearing of any in the NHL in the last few years to be completely honest. But I don't know that 100%.

In NHL or any league? The classics were Red Wings (Mike Vernon and Chris Osgood) vs. Patrick Roy. That was pretty intense.

I think that it was a couple years ago, involving Nashville's Tomas Vokoun and Calgary's Miikka Kiprusoff.
The greatest fight ever involving two goaltenders definitely Detroit Redwing's Vernon vs. Roy from Colorado, in which Roy exited the ice with his face covered in blood.
Might I add also, that Emery is a bad *** who was smiling throughout BOTH of his fights.
