Actually it depends on the way you mean it. You do actually use it whilst you're on the loo and therefore you can say you use it on the loo. I can't think of a better name for it and I really don't want to spend too much time thinking about it. Kitchen roll is after all called that because you use it in the kitchen so the same thing can be said for toilet paper...

A better name might be:Hygienic paper wipes.

Who calls it a "toilet roll"? It's "toilet paper," because you use it when you're on the toilet bowl.

it got its name because its consider a tolietry product. A toiletry product is anything that belongs in the bathroom. So toiletry roll eventually turned into toilet rolls by people refering to them in short

The word toilet originates in France - toilette - which means small cloth. Toilette is the act or process of dressing or grooming oneself, i.e. to make one's toilet.
How about 'wipe ons', wipe offs' as in the Karate Kid film...lol

It supposed to be toilet tissue really isn't it? because it's tissue we use when we are on the toilet.
I still call it loo roll though!

What a brilliant question. I have never thought of it like that before! Maybe bum buster or fanny freshener. I don't think they would sell well though; I have to think on that one. What about bottom beautifier? Have a star on me!!xxxxx
