could someone give me a good reason why i should pursue a career in the talent industry?

It depends on which end of the talent you are - are you the talented person or are you the person interested in representing talent (like an agent?) If you are truly talented and have the persistence and patience to work for it, the go for it. If you have the salesmanship of an agent, then go for that. But foremost, do what makes you happy.
