The problem with divorce is that "fault" thing. People sometimes don't get along. Divorce is the end of a marriage, not judgment day at St. Peter's.

Should you get "everything"? What if the roles were reversed and he got "everything"? Be fair, even if you dislike him now, and you'll always be right. Twist the knife, and the blood will stain you.

I'm sure both parties think that the other one is at fault. Just try to split up everything as fair as possible and don't make a big deal about it for the sake of the kids.

who is to say who is at fault, and regardless who is at fault is it fair that everything that your spouse has worked for be takin away what is the punishment for being at fault if the tables were turned I'm sure you wouldn't want to lose every thing you have worked for. after all you got the kids what more could you want. You've probably already mentally destroyed your spouse at least let them have what is rightfully theres.

All this "what if the tables were turned" thing is bull crap! If your situation is anything like mine, the tables wouldn't possibly be turned because I would NEVER do the things he did! Do I think I should get everything??? Hell YES! However, in reality, it doesn't work that way, and if you live in a no-fault state like I do, you are required to split things as equitably as possible.

However, I like to think that I did get everything...I got the kids...the house...my sanity...and my LIFE!!! Those things are worth more than anything.

Good luck!

Well my husband thinks since I get to have the kids them I can have everything. He gave me the house, he gave me all the bills also. Since it was going to hurt the kids in the long run then he gave me every thing he only took what was his before we were married. And I get child support. I got the furniture, frig, washer dryer, freezer, stove, computer, all out side tools lawn mower, weed eater, shovels, plus some tools to fix the leaks. Like I said it only hurts the kids.

If you both can make an effort to be fair and get along then your kids will live as happily as possible in a tough situation. Me and my ex get along great as friends and our son is very well adjusted. He is 4. Good Luck.
