I have a reoccurring problem with IE7 where it just unexpectedly closes while I am surfing the web. There is no pattern to when it closes but it just does, no matter how many tabs I might have open.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this annoying problem?

Thanks.

I have attempted to reinstall the program, but it does not help.

I have this problem on all three of my computers, including a desktop at home, a laptop at home, and my office computer. It seems to be a problem with IE7 itelf, but that it just a guess.

I have also scanned my hard drive for spyware and viruses, and there are none. I have active protection and scan my drives regularly.

On more thing, when IE unexpectedly closes itself, it simply closes without any error message. I am able to get it started again by simply just clicking on the icon and running it again. I wish there was an error message so that I would have something to go from, but unfortunately there is no message.

Could be a number of problems... ranging from corruption of data files, add on program interferences, etc.

I would suggest a clean uninstall of IE7, then a complete install of IE7. That way everything is started from fresh. If you still have exception errors, fatal closures, etc. It could possible be something more involved (Data files that are shared, etc).

If worse comes to worst, save the "crash" information and e-mail it to MS support. They may never get back to you, but at least its a shot.

Best of luck

i'd uninstall the toolbar, then pass to IE and procure the present version or make positive it has all the most modern-day updates by going to the residing house windows Updates interior the administration Panel. If none of that fixes the problem, try downloading and re-installation the present IE from Microsoft Downloads or like quite a few different guy said, in simple terms receive the present version of Mozilla Firefox. I like it over IE.
