Sometimes we take for granted that the other participants are in the same country we are, just because we're all writing in English (or some crude version of it). It caught my attention yesterday when someone said he was in Mexico. And I know another "regular" has said he's in Italy. And the use of "whilst" is a giveaway for the UK.

So what part of the world are you in right now? I'm in the SW US, btw, have been for 25 years, the Midwest before that. How's the climate (both weather and tolerance-wise)?

Louisville, Kentucky.
The weather climate varies (it is currently 26°F, but the spring and autumn are wonderful). The city is very tolerant (more than many others within a few hundred miles), but some other areas of the state are not nearly as tolerant.

I'm in Seattle USA. Spring has sprung, which means that the weather is confused here. Several time during the day, we will see sun, rain, wind, and possibly hail.
We're often pinned the rainiest place around, but we do have our gorgeous sunny days and droughts. We just got through the coldest winter that I have seen in 20 years. I am hoping for a nice summer to make up for it.

I'm in the Midwest US, currently it's 32 degrees Fahrenheit and fairly tolerant.
Where I am we have same-sex foster parenting, same-sex adoption and same-sex second parent adoption. We also have GLBT employment and housing protections as well.
We do not have same-sex civil unions, but a same-sex marriage bill has recently been introduced. This is a Pro-marriage bill since we recently defeated the anti-marriage ballot initiative!!
Yeah US!
The longer I live here, the more I love my state!
It's where Equality in the US truly began! (Just think back to your 1800's national history and you might figure out where I'm from)

I'm in Mobile AL. & the weather is great here!
The sun is shining & its a nice day to walk your dog, wash your car, go to the beach for a picnic, or do lawncare. Its just really nice here today. Its about to rain here in the next few days but the rain here is different than that in Washington State. But if i had to choose a place to be for the smell & scenery it would be Wa. hands down. Its beautiful there & it has a clean smell after the rain unlike here in Al. It smells dirty after the rain here. If you've ever been here, you'd know what i was talking about.

I'm in the Lone Star State, and in the city that I live in there is a fairly good population of gay people but sadly enough there is still a pretty good sized intolerance of gays here in the South even though it has been proven that homosexuality is genetic.
