Words memory!?
as a aspect of becoming an effective writer how can I use a memory strategy for these words?How would I tell the different when I type and not to make a typo?

advice/advise

breach/breech

bouhjt/brought

complementary/complimentary

fair/fare

farther/further

they only give me an ex. and i don't understand
the "x" in "except"things they tend to stand out, be different.In contrast, just look at those two cozy "c'' snuggling up togther. very accepting. And be carefull when typing "except" because it often comes out "expect"

Advice is pronounced differently then advise. If you pronounce it, it may help you to write the correct word.

Advice sounds like ICE, advise sounds like EYES. You give advICE and you may advISE someone to change their ways.

BrEAch means to brEAk something... and I think of breech always in the plural; breeches as in pants.

bought and buy are the same... brought and bring... hope that helps?

complimentary is rough... but remember complEmentary is like complEting... they both have e's.

I always just try to picture a TAXI with the word FARE; the visual imageary has always helped me.

Hope this helps. It takes a bit of focus and concentration to just work on them until it is in your long term memory.
