Has anyone gotten pregnant the first month after disconinuing the BC pill? Or how long did it take for you to get pregnant afterwards?

Depends on the pill itself and the amount of time you have been on it. For instance, my cousin conceived while on the pill. Now, she didnt really take it correctly which is inturn the reason she got pregnant. And I had been on the pill for almost 10 years straight and it took 7 months. It will really vary alot. Plus there are all the factors of temperture, his sperm versus your egg, timing, etc. Besides the fact that you were on BC, you still have to deal with all those other issues that may make it take just a little longer to conceive. Good Luck and RELAX......If you dont stress or even "think" about gettting pregnant, it will happen!

The doctor that I work for says of course you can get pregnant right away, however he recommends to go off the pill for three months before trying. Most women he says get pregnant 3-6 months after that first 3 month wait. So...about 9 months max if everything is working well...but that's an average, so it can take longer...getting the hormones out of your system while waiting to try the first few months is great to that you can ensure a healthy happy baby!

I went off of the pill at the end of August and started trying in November. We are still working on getting pregnant but my best friend went off the pill had her period and 14 days later got pregnant! She had a healthy baby boy. Everyon is defferent. I would suggest getting an exam before trying just to check everything out. Good Luck!!!!!

Honey, I got pregnant while ON the pill. Damnable grapefruit juice... But if you even miss one pill, you can get pregnant. You can get pregnant if you're on the pill and you haven't taken it for a month yet. It's all those fine little details. If you read the directions carefully, they tell you that for the first month to use extra protection because there's a risk of pregnancy. Also, they tell you if you've missed a pill not to have sex because you can get pregnant.

I took me 3 months of not taking the pill and I got pregnant but everyone is different and it could happen at different times

After being on the pill for YEARS and I came off the pill and got prego the first time we tried. Some people are more fertile than others that's for sure.

My first pregnancy I was off the pill for one month. My second pregnancy it took me one year. I'm now 16 weeks pregnant!!

I had been on BCPs for 9 years, went off in June and am still trying. Only getting my period every 2 months though, so till haven't quite regulated everything out yet.
