I was wondering what people thought about this and what I should do, if anything, about it.

I work for a small business. Literally. There is only me and the boss now, with the occasional 18 year old girl that comes in to help a few days a week. He is very vulgar and makes a lot of sexual comments, he said something to the 18 year old girl the other day, "well come on brittany, I'd rather be sued for sexual harassment than be ignored." And he wasn't even saying it to me and I felt uncomfortable.
Throughout the course of my employment here (7 months) I have had paychecks bounce, so now I go and get them cashed. The problem is, there have been at least 8 or 9 times when I cannot get them cashed due to insufficient funds. We have had our power turned off and our phone lines turned off because of it. All of our phone calls are on the basis of him not paying his bills.
I am in the process of almost having a better job, but I can't leave until I am positive.
What would you do?

i think i would be taking ANY job rather than have to take that type of daily BS.........

If this other job does not pan out would seriously look for ANY other sort of employment, at least one that you KNOW your check is going to be honored and you get paid EVERY week.

Sexual harrassment isn't a "Better Business Bureau" issue - it is a legal issue...It is against the law...go sign a complaint on the sleaze bag and quit the job.

Cash the checks at his bank.
Keep a detailed record of your hours.
If you have keys/security codes, give them to him.
Get another job ASAP!

Sounds like an old boss of mine. As it turned out, she loved cocaine.

Stick it out until you find another job. even if you think you have this other job keep sending your resumes until you definitely have one.

Good luck!!! I know having a crapy boss just sucks!!

At this point, you have plenty enough to be positive that it's time to leave. Beat feet out of there as soon as possible.
