first of all dont cry about it. Its not that big of a deal. maybe you should tell your mom or dad. or if you have an older sibling. maybe you could make a chart that says who gets the remot on day and then who gets it the next day. and if you get into trouble you get it taken away. I am 13 as well and i have no siblings which makes me happy but i see the problem at my friends house and thats what they do.

You two should make an agreement that you will alternate between the hours. If you were my children I would take away the T.V. privilege. It is not the end of the world....but I can understand why you would be upset....just talk to your folks about working out an arrangement.

I know how u feel- My sis just turned 8 and I'm turning 13 in September.
And if I'm watching some Kiss or Motley Crue specail or MTV2, my sis wants it on Disney.... Tell your brother that it's your TV time and he can watch tv later!

He is probably doing that because he knows that you will get angry, little children can be like that. You are getting older and he could be a little bit jealous of you. First you should try talking with your parents about the situation. You have to remember 7 years old can sometimes be brats. often they are seeking attention for themselves. Maybe it his way of trying to get your attention, you are his older sister and he may need your approval.

I had the same problem but with my husband. I always want to watch ugly betty but the spanish version and he just comes home and locks the channel and watches his stupid diy channel. We we did was to agree on what channels to watch and times. I agreed to watch his diy and he agreed to watch my soap! Or I give him the remote to the xbox 360 and he goes to play and I watch what I want.

The two of you need to schedule tv time so that each of you gets to watch what you want

Surely you have more than one TV?? Your parents need to referee that problem, and in my opinion, whoever turns that set on should control the remote.

He likes to know he's getting to you! The more you let it bother you, the more he's going to do it. Have your parents talk to him about being respectful to you. If that doesn't work, lock him in a closet for awhile!
