why does everyone like the smell of freshly cut grass? is it memories from childhood, or what?

The pollution in the air doesn't smell good enough so the smell of natural grass brings back memories of our primitive times when we use to swing around in trees in the jungle. The grass if we didn't cut it would grow very very long. Since the grass was very long in our primitive time that would resemble a resemblance. Possibly we in our primitive time would eat grass it is logical that we were once use to the smell of fresh eaten grass Cutting grass brings back good grass eating times.

I mostly like the smell of freshly mown grass the first few times I smell it each year. I haven't experiended it for long, cold months and it signifies the coming of summer.

i love the smell of freshly cut grass i dont know what it is it just smells really really nice, unfortunalty it doesent like me lol i end up with big puffy watery eyes

Why does everybody dislike the smell of feces?? because it has an unpleasant odor... why do people like the smell of grass? because it has a pleasant odor. Everybody likes things that have a nice scent, and everyone dislikes things that have a nasty scent. Simple as that.

Grass starts getting cut when the days start getting brighter, the weather starts getting better, people start getting cheerier, the days get longer...people like smells they associate with being happy.

well, the main reason why they like the smell of grass is because it reminds them of how the things were back then, when they were young or are young.

i dont particularly like the smell of grass but then again i dont really like grass as a whole...mainly because i have hayfever so it makes me sneeze but also because of all the insects that hide inside it lol........i must seem like a crazy rambling weirdo hahahaha

Yes,with me it is the memories of hay making on a local farm,us kids went and "helped",I think that in reallity the farmer put up with us having fun!

well i like the smell cause well i live in arizona--a hellhole--its really hot out here so grass rarely ever lives through the summer or winter so....i hoppe that explains it
