I finally had my baby girl on 2/20th and am so happy and relieved it's finally over. Thankfully my baby girl is perfect, there were no complications. Now that I've had her, I was just wondering how long I would be bleeding. I was told I would probably bleed for 3 weeks straight. On the first day, I was bleeding alot. Now it's like a normal period flow. How long did you all actually bleed after giving birth?

I believe that it is different for all women because I didn't bleed anywhere close to 6 weeks. Maybe I bleed for 2-3 weeks but that was it. To be honest I've only had one period since I had my baby, May of 2006.

It really can depend upon the woman. With my first I bled for around a month, my second and third were about 3 weeks. I was just like you, pretty heavy the first day or two, then just normal flow for a week or so, then after that it was just spotting. I just had to wear a thin maxi.

This totally varies from person to person. I had a period like flow for 4 weeks then slowed to occaisional spottin g for a week or two. Then i thought i had a period but later found out i was just still bleeding. Don't worry, your OB will check out and make sure things are healing fine.

I bled period-like for about the first five weeks, then switched to spotting for the next two weeks or so. It eventually goes away, and the nice thing was since I was breastfeeding, I didn't get my period for 6 months after my baby was born!

Your dentist could have given you training explaining what to assume after the technique. you are able to check out that for all your questions, or call the workplace and ask them once you're doubtful. it quite is puzzling to assert how long, without theory which tooth, how complicated it quite is removing replaced into, or how many have been bumped off. shop biting on the moistened gauze they gave you regulate it out once or twice at 15-20 min periods. you would be dislodging the clot in case you proceed packing and annoying it too many instances. shop an ice %. on the extraction internet site, cheek section, 5 min's or so, then off for 5-10 min's. do not frost chew your face. do not spit or rinse your mouth, smoke or drink something warm or something by using a straw. If the section does not clot over, or maintains to bleed for better than a pair of hours, call your dentist. somewhat some what sufferers think of is in simple terms too lots blood quite is in simple terms slightly blended with somewhat some saliva. you additionally can moisten a tea bag with cool water and place it over the socket and gently prepare biting tension for 10-15 min. there is tennic acid in tea baggage needless to say, which help in formation of clotting. If any of it is doubtful or you sense uncomfortable or uncertain, please call your dentist. that's what they are there for. wish i've got been of a few help, yet do call your scientific expert if indicators persist or worsen, despite if it quite is after hours. sturdy luck.

Probably around 6 weeks... it'll become less and less as time goes by. For the last couple weeks I was just using pantyliners. Someone with a c-section usually bleeds a little bit less time because they get some of it out while your in surgery.

I bled for about 3-4 weeks (can't remember exactly now) after the birth of my first child, but every woman is different.

Congrats!

They say 3-6 weeks. By the 3rd week it will be down to a thin maxi size flow. It really helps too if you are breastfeeding because when you do, your uterus contracts which pushes more of that extra blood and fluid out. No pressure to breastfeed of course. Its a personal preference. Congrats on your new arrival! Glad you are both happy and heathy!
