The terrorists at Gutanamo Bay are all guilty- If not, they wouldnt be there. They do NOT have the right to challenge their arrest, or demand trials. What they deserve is to rot in jail for life, or face execution. Liberals need to remember, these terrorst scum murdered 3000 Americans on 9/11, and they continue to shoot US soldiers. To suggest they should be allowed to challenge thier arrest, or sue the government would be alloting them power- it would be a threat to freedom. Personally, I think the terrorists at Guatnamo Bay should not be kept alive- all should be executed, so terrorists in Iraq will see what will happen to their kind- and the'll then be teeerified at the cery thohgt of attacking us again....If somehow a terrorist is able to get a lwyer to challenge his arrest, that laweyer should face arrest, and his firm closed down.
TERRORISTS HAVE NO RIGHTS
To give the rights such as so called 'due process' would be a threat to freedom.
How can moonbat liberals not see this

How many prisoners has the military already set free?

How many more mistakes have they made?

The real question you should ask is this - why are you so afraid to give them a hearing?

The majority of detainees were caught in grand sweeps or sold for bounties by rival tribesmen. Any who were truly considered to be dangerous were taken AWAY from Gitmo to the CIA's "black prisons" or renditioned to countries without human rights protections.

How can you have so little faith in America and what we stand for that you would actually be frightened for the rule of law to be applied? How would you guard against anyone who might have the power to say to YOU one day that you have no rights? You may say, as many people do, that you have nothing to hide - and I say to you, how do you know?

Kafka wrote "The Trial" because of people like you.

What an interesting point of view. You would have been really comfortable in Stalinist Russia or Nazi Germany.

The United States is a country of laws. We have always been the champion of HUMAN rights. In our legal system, one is innocent until proven guilty.

What is happening at Guantanamo is a national disgrace and forever changes how we look at ourselves. Same with Abu Ghraib...... Thanks to the madman in the White House, our country will never be the same again.

We have looked into the mirror and found the enemy and it is us.

Just a personal opinion here - if you are so hot after the "terrorists" and support what is going on, why don't you enlist and join in the fun. Maybe they will send you to Guantanamo and let you torture and kick around a few people. It is one thing to sit in front of your computer spouting off about issues you know nothing about - and quite another thing to put your money where your mouth is and join up......

Ummm....I guess you forgot the part where several of those already freed had been kidnapped in other countries by the Afghani warlords and turned over to the U.S. for the reward money.

One of those set free was a doctor volunteering in Pakistan.

I know that some of the people at Gitmo weren't guilty because they had trials and they were released. Just because Bush says that everybody at Gitmo is a terrorist doesn't mean it's true.

How do you define freedom?
And be aware many of the people at Gutanamo Bay were simply rounded up, and are being held without one shred of evidence.
By denying people freedom somehow protects freedom?
Typical right wing illogic....

What is the "freedom" you see as so threatened if it does not include "due process?" What are the ideals we are fighting FOR (not the ones we are fighting AGAINST)? I believe they are the very ones that are being systematically eroded by this administration.

I think you went a bit far off base there!

They do not have the right to a trial in a US court.
They ARE NOT US citizens so our Constitutional rights DO NOT apply to them.
They have the right to a trial...but just not with US lawyers and US juries.
Their trials should be done through military tribunals as they are not POW's.

But they should have trials.....JUST NOT HERE!

How they can not see it? Because their political agendas are more important to them than the welfare of the nation.
