nope - I know he has made alot of mistakes, but he's also tackled things other politicians wouldn't touch with a barge pole - child poverty, poor parenting, social exclusion, housing slums, sure start for disadvantaged families... make sure you've done your research before you believe all the hype

ok then, may I direct you to this website: http://www.jrf.org.uk/child-poverty/ - a huge foundation, independent of the government which reports that:

In 1999, the Prime Minister committed to ending child poverty by 2020.

700,000 children have been lifted out of poverty between 1998 and 2005. (yes, that's 700,000 since Blair has been in power)

This is a reduction of 17%. The target was 25%.

ok so they haven't met the target they aimed for, but if you can show me a government that's done better than this, I'm sure we'd all like to see it

NO is the short answer as there seems to be no creditable alternative .... I,m old enough to remember the years the Tory's were in power believe me they were not good and today's lot aren't fit to tie the shoelaces of some of their predecessors.

I wouldn't sign even if I were permitted. I was disappointed when Mr. Blair became PM, but since have discovered that he really is doing a good job. Much better than I anticipated.

Tony Blair is a great man and you should be grateful he is willing to stand up and do the right thing by supporting the global war on terror.
