I do not see a problem with that. My mom is currently (going on 10 years) married to a guy that was 2 years my junior in high school.

Much over 18 and there's not a lot anyone can say or do, but my gut feeling tells me that up to 30, youre kind of limited to 10 years either way, as you pass 30, your level of maturity steadies and really, the age of a partner is immaterial thereafter.
I've had a short relationship with a woman who's not far off 50 I'm 37... no one said a word. A few people gave us funny looks here and there, but it was us laughing more than them.
it's only a 12 year gap.... Go for it and enjoy everything you can together.

There was an article in the Guardian newspaper about age differences today. Apparently it's only with an age gap of above 18 years when the success of relantionships dramatically decreases - but does that kind of statistic really bother you? If you're in love, why should your age matter?

I am dating a woman that is 11 years older that me and I tell you it's great
sorry I did do it before things are alot more open in the relationship and we get a great kick of it don't mind others we are happy and that's what is all about

That's cool,you fall in love with the person not their age,so go for it.My sister was 17 when she met her boyfriend of 40 and they are still going strong 10 years later.
