Congrats!!

I'm also having a boy, July 7 is my edd. I was just looking at the bedding at JC Penney's online. We ended up going with the Lamb & Ivy "Moo Moo" set. It's so cute with cows, a farm, and even a tractor. The colors are nice too. I'm not usually a pastel person but the isn't bad with the bright colors of the appliques.

Here's our set:

They have a ton to choose from and they aren't outrageously priced. Even the ones at babies r us can go up to $200 for just the quilt set. And, they don't have nearly the selection of boys bedding Penney's does.

They also have a monkey set, a zoo set, and a mommy & me set. Have you seen the baby book mommy & me? It's about how a mommy cares for her baby and the book shows all kinds of animals to tell the story. So sweet! This is my second choice for bedding - it has nice dark colors too.

Good Luck!

PS: I did my oldest son's room in a Winnie the Pooh theme. I ended up ordering from tomadachi71 off ebay because the wallpaper and bedding I wanted was discontinued :((( She is in Canada but her bedding is priced well and she ships super fast. She has TONS in her store! I'm going to place a link of how the nursery turned out...maybe it will inspire you :))

ok...DO NOT go to Babies are us or Pennys. You will pay way too much. There is an ebay store called beyond bedding. They have some great "modern" type baby room themes that are CHEAP. Heres how it works: Say you like the moons and stars theme. well they put it on for Buy it Now but then they also offer one bidding only. But if you dont get the one you want and someone steals it for like $40, they put one up to replace it for the next week so there is alway the pattern you liked up for bid. They sell for over $100 for buy it now but I got mine for instance for $40 because I was in no super rush to get it (I had 9 months), I just waited until noone was bidding on it.
Good Luck and congrats! My first is an August 2005 baby. Get you a great swimsuit and ALOT of shorts!! You will be hotter than a woman going thru menopause!

If you are planning on having another baby after this one then I would go with something gender nuetral so that you can use it again. Because nursery stuff can get very expensive for the time that it is going to be used.

If you are looking for something that is not gender nuetral then I would try to find something that could be easly changed as they get older without replacing everything that you have bought. Maybe .... cars, sports, something along that line.

I just had a boy (my last baby .... ;-) and we did his nursery in John Deere and Teddy Bears .... VERY VERY cute if you like the country themes.

Hope this helps a lil bit

A planetary theme is a cool boy's theme and you can paint a focal wall dark blue/black with painted stars or planet wallies.

I like dinosaurs, farming and other natural stuff for boys, too.

I found bunches of themes for baby boys and girls at http://www.unique-baby-gear-ideas.com/baby-nursery-theme.html

They have the instructions on how to put them together and not spend a fortune.

I have a cute set from Babies R' Us called Dream Teddy. I wanted a unisex theme because I plan to have more children. I love my baby's nursery theme. The Dream Teddy nursery theme can also be found @ Burlington Coat Factory.

Congrats & enjoy your baby!!!

Congrats on having a boy!! My little man is 3 and a half months old and we did his nursery in blue jean teddy theme. There are heaps of things on ebay both new and second hand.

Cars, trains, airplanes, dinosaurs, maybe a superhero theme. Sports is always the most popular. Try looking on baby websites for ideas. I am sure that will help...

Congrats!

My little man LOVES trains and cars. That theme would work well for a nursery and for an older child as well.

Other ideas would be jungle, space, puppies, frogs, or sports.
