It depends entirely on what you plan to operate. A microwave oven will require at least 1000 watts, light bulbs according to individual ratings.

What electrical equipment do you anticipate running? If you add up the amp hour draw of this you will know what your requirements will be. Just add 20% to be sure.

4K will get you there for an A/C and most other stuff. the microwave will overload you if the A/C's going. you can always turn it off for a minute or two to use the microwave.

You could pro bally get by with 4 K but to be safe for future
electrical demands I would go 6.5 K to be safe .and have enough
cords to get it far enough away so you don`t hear it ..
