This question is asked many times, you should really check to see if there are any similar questions to the one you are asking.

Anyway, LimeWire is NOT illegal unless you are using it to download illegal things (copyrighted material you do not own, etc.).

Well ok, limewire is what tech freaks call P2P networking, this simply means that you share files on a network. However im sure you know what a copyright is, no download music whatever, the problem is the FBI cannot find a way to shutdown the P2P Network, since your computer is a server that shares files, like if i download promiscous girl by nelly on limewire i share that file with others if they ever download it, thus if the fbi where downloading it to see who has downloaded it, then you would get thrown in jail,

if you need to delete any files that you downloaded on limewire so you wont get caught,

but anyways, download anythign but copyrighted files.

It is not illegal to use any peer 2 peer file sharing applications. That said, it IS illegal to use such applications to download copyrighted software.

some say yes and others say no for me it isn't since i just download music and burn it to a cd but if your using it for more than that than yes it can be illegal
