i heard that if you put ginger ale in a douche and use it, it will clean you out better?

Recently a Doctor on TV stated this problem perfectly: your vaginal are is like a self-cleaning oven. With proper hygiene you can avoid douche all together. Douche methods can lead to infections, irritations and carbonated beverages are not usually on the list of preferred methods for cleanliness. Talk with your GYN and ask them for suggestions.Your body is too important to experiment with.

You do NOT need to clean your vagina, your vagina cleans itself! If you use any douche whatsoever you're just messing up the balance in there and making yourself more likely to run into problems like yeast infections. DON'T DO IT!

If there's a specific reason you feel you need to "clean yourself out" a douche is not the answer. If you want to wash out sperm or something, this doesn't work at all. If you don't like the smell you should see a doctor and they can give you things to kill smelly bacteria. Etc.

Putting something full of sugar in your vagina is just inviting an infection. Bacteria would feed on that sugar and multiply beyond what your natural defenses can handle. Douching is really not necessary anyway, your vagina is self-cleaning.

OMG!! Do not do this. One of my friends tried this and she got an infection. Never put pop, soda, or ale in your vagina. Just stick to the basics, or try Summers Eve douche. It doesn't burn at all, it leaves you super clean and smelling fresh. ;-)
