If Sambora played bass, I'd pick him. Simmons has the performance better than anyone, I love him to death because he is fun to watch, but not necessarily the skill. Sambora has some guitarist skills but he just kind of stands there and mugs a lot.
Either way, Flea from the Chili Peppers is better than any bassist out there right now as far as talent. :-)

Gene cause Sambora does not play Bass....Actually Simmons is not that good on bass so I bet Sambora can kick his ***!

Gene Simmons is the best everything in the world, because he tossed my girlfriend's former boyfriend out of his hotel room onto his fat loudmouth @$$ when he was in KC some time ago. Anyone who pummels that loser is a winner in my book. Go Gene!

Right NOW? I'd pick Sambora. If you mean when they were at their best not sure but would proably STILL pick Sambora. What about Slash though?

not quite. he's sufficient for the desires of Kiss yet he won't win any awards for it. he's a showman, which potential he places on a definite air of secret and character and thanks to that, does not may be the perfect musician available.
