How do you write a Paragraph Proof?

i don't really know how to start it. because the book i'm using only gives me an example. i can't figure anything out from it.

You have to write out each step in a thought process in one sentence that is what me a profesional mathematician makes out of it, but then I can be wrong.

The tree is alive, because it's got green leaf. The green color mean there is respiration in it, and respiration is something living tree do. When a tree is dead, the leaf turn red and dry for ever.
