The Democraps are trying to limit the wartime powers that were given to the Presdeint. Are these Democraps stupid? Pres. Bush is the BOSS. They answer to him, the soldiers serve him, and the loyalty of both is supposed to be to the presdient. Ann Coulter is right, Pres Bush in time of war can basically do whatever he feels needs to be done- and Democraps who oppose him should face prosicution. This is an example of how the Democrats are power hungry- they want to take away power from the President so they can feel they have [power. I hiop Pres Bush has the whole lot of them arrested. WHY DO DEMOCRATS HATE FREEDOM?
By trying to strip the President of power, they want the power foir themselves, and want to make America a communist dictatorship.

Nope, they oppose this senseless war in Iraq. This war isn't helping my freedom. Freedom means; not being put in prison without trials and not attacking countries based on false evidence. It means not have concentration camps and imprisonment without justice. It is the US Constitution that will keep us free.

The sad truth is, most ALL of them voted to kick butt after 911 cause they made that decision based on the same information Bush had at the time. NOW, its late in the fourth quarter, all these arm chair quarterbacks are having second thoughts.

In the heat of battle, the tide of battle changes, but you cant wait on a poll to decide which avenue or direction you should move or attack. If you look at WW2, Battle of the Bulge caught us with our pants down. The troops were sure the Nazi's were beat and that all was gonna be silent for Christmas.

Bush had a game plan and the tide of battle changed and so, he has changed the attack. The only problem I have is that he needs to be more aggressive and kick some more butt.

The Democrats, as usual, are sitting back and using hind sight to second guess what is and isn't going on. I think deep down inside, to make the Repub's look bad, the Democrats would like to see us loose, again.( remember Viet Nam?)

They pulled this same crap in the early 70's and we took 2nd place in the South East Asia War Games. And yes, South Viet Nam fell, just like Laos and Cambodia fell, just like it was predicted. But we don't care, we pulled out troops out after loosing 54,000.

We need to either fight the fight, or shut up and whimper like a little kid when they come a calling again. They will make 911 look like a Sunday school picnic the next time.

You are joking right? This is just an elaborate put on, like Steven Colbert, right?

Pres. Bush is the President, not "THE BOSS". In the United States of America we do not have a "THE BOSS". The Constitution is the closest thing that we have to a "THE BOSS". The Constitution spells out what powers the president has, be he or she a Democrat, Republican or whatever.

The Constitution also spells out what power the Congress has, as well as the Supreme Court. This is called a system of checks and balances.

Being at war does not turn the President into an elected king. Besides, we are not formally at war, even though our armed forces are fighting one in Iraq and Afghanistan. Only Congress can formally declare war and it has not for either Iraq or Afghanistan. The Constitution at work again.

Furthermore, Pres. Bush is the Commander in Chief of the US military. For the 4 years I spent in the USAF, I had to obey any direct order given to me by my chain of command, which ended at him. As I private citizen, I owe him absolutely nothing. He is not the commander in chief of the American people. He is our chief public servant. He owes us our loyalty.

Do you think that you might change your mind if a Democrat wins the WH in 2008? Hmm?

Bush is not the BOSS.. he has 1/3 of the power, the senate has 1/6, the house has 1/6 (congress together has 1/3) and the supreme court has 1/3... he's the single most powerful person.. not the boss... and if this is supposed to be a democracy, this democratic republic we live in... then Bush's boss is the people.. and congress is the best representation of the people.

Wow, you are severely misinformed my friend. NO he should not get to do whatever he wants. Checks and balances. They keep him in check and balance him out.
No the dems should not be arrested for trying to limit his already over stretched power. When this country was founded, the pres had very little power. You are dumb

And yes, there are some dems that would like a communist dictatorship ... but there are some republicans that would like a fascist dictatorship that has laws restricting freedoms!!! you sound fascist because you want people thrown behind bars because they appose the pres, and you say they hate freedom. anyone has the right to speak against the pres, freedom of speech. but you want to omit that. clown

And to finish this off, I AM A REPUBLICAN. I openly support bush. But you are stupid and I ask all to realize that this clown does not represent the rest of the republicans

I can imagine a German citizen in 1933 making the same argument for why Adolf Hitler needed to have complete power over the German Government. Listen if you want to live in a Monarchy or a Dictatorship than there are plenty of those still around in other nations so I would suggest you might be more happy in one of those nations since it seems that democracy and the entire democratic process of law as set up by the constitution is to you an annoyance or somewho taking away your freedom. In fact if that is so good why did they bother to overthrow Sadaam as he was doing just that. You seem to see a dictatorship as the best way so you must agree.

You know, it is funny how I don't even have to listen to the conservative hate radio to know what the topics of the day are. Here seems to be one of today's.

To even think that Democrats hate freedom is pure ascenine. How dare you! I am a life long Democrat and when I see people like you I am happier every day that I am because it is that kind of hate and diatribe that turns one off to you and your cause.

I served in this country's armed services, have you? I vote in every election. I proudly stand hand over heart and tear in my eyes of pride whenever I hear "The Star Spangled Banner".

Let me give you a quote that should sound familiar to you as you listen to conservative hate radio:

Hermann Goering, Hitler's Propaganda Minister said, " Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism , and exposing the country to greater danger".

Who hates freedom? You better clean your own house before complaining about how dirty someone else's house is.

No it is not proof of anything, anyone that follows a fool blindly will get what they deserve. If your such a adamant follower of Bush why are you sitting around playing on the computer and not in Iraq following your boss's orders to the T.

P.S. Do you really believe any of the foolishness you just put down here??

Yeah, brilliant observation. You're a political genius of our time. I hope the Nobel Prize folks have your address, as your contribution to the national discourse is astonishing.

I would like to point out to you that Bush and every other politician is--and should be--a servant of the American public, nothing more. Insinuating his authority extends beyond that illustrates the fact that you do not comprehend the proper functioning of this government. And, if you support him so vehemently, why, oh why are you on here instead of in Iraq, supporting your "boss"? Put your money where your mouth is.

Your entire question and explanation are ludicrous--and I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat (I am an independent voter).

Everyone wants our country to get back to the freedoms it was promised (many of which have been taken away from us). Everyone wants to see our troops and other innocent people stop dying.

Bush is not the KING--Congress has a lot to say about what goes on.

People cannot be arrested for their feelings, thoughts and even for peaceful protests.

You are as delusional as the man you support!!

Our system of government was set up to keep one person or party from making decisions solely for selfish corrupted purposes much like this president is doing now!!

We do not live in a Dictatorship run by one person!

Although if Bush had his way that is exactly what he would like and from the sound of it so would you!
