I'm an average-sized guy - a little over 5'9" - and am happy with my height. I just thought it might be fun to see what it's like to view the world from 6' or so now and then. I've been to my neighborhood shoe repair store, but they don't have lifts. Anybody know where to buy them in Manhattan? If not, I'll just order some online.

Thanks for your help.

By the way, I've tried different online searches, which yield lots of results for web purchases, but nothing for local retail stores. If your advice comes from a web search, could you tell me what your search terms were? This seems to me to be the hardest thing to use the internet for - actually locating a product that one is physically close to. (I know this is kind of silly - I could call around local stores & just ignore the Web - but any intelligent suggestions of how you've ingeniously retrieved useful info I would greatly appreciate.)

Go to a discount store and buy some Dr Scholl's heel pads for your shoes, they're cheap, and add as many to your shoes as you want to.Be sure they are for under the heel and not for the back of it.

This is my pet peeve! Not finding an actual store to buy the stuff. So annoying.

Call shoe store and if they don't have them, ask who does. Shouldn't take long.

BTW, shoe lifts are tacky. Girls don't like them.

It's hard to find volleyball shoes in stores. You might have to order online. Most popular brands are Mizuno and Asics.
