how will we refer to the other parties.. left and right are taken.. so up/down forward/backward? Maybe we'll go 3-D and call one the Z party....

until a 3rd party can create a platform that gains enough power to compete with democrat/republican we effectively have a 2 party system.. but that wasn't really the point of this question anyway.. this is a sarcastic play on politics.. we all take ourselves too seriously and I like to help remind people (including myself) of that from time to time :)

please try to refrain from calling me stupid when you have no clue where left and right actually come from.. the refer to the side of the isle they sit on.. yes, democrats sit on the left and republicans sit on the right.. hence left wing and right wing..

How about the "north-east quadrant" party.

No stupid, left and right refer to liberal and conservative. This means that some political parties can be more liberal or conservative than others. For example far left means that they believe in huge government high taxes AKA socialism. Far right means they think government should stay out of their thier lives AKA non-restricted trade or Anarchy(depends on how far right you intend to go).

There are other parties. It's the people that are not interested in them. People complain and complain about having only two parties. There are other parties and if that is what you want then vote for the other parties. Wait, you don't like what they stand for either? Well, I guess we're screwed then.

Fine:

Yes, that is what I was saying. No one is interested in them enough to vote for a third party
