Think of all the people who love and care about you. Even people you've forgotten about or don't know! Surround yourself with the right friends, the ones who listen, who like to laugh, who hug you. Right now you feel like giving up, but you owe it to yourself and to your loved ones to fight this illness with all your strength.
As for the medicine, it takes a while to take effect. Usually they start off with low doses and increase it gradually until it has a good effect.

You do need to speak to your dr. Don't wait for the next appointment. Give her a call--you'll probably need to leave a message. Tell her that you're taking the meds but you're still feeling depressed and cutting.
Cutting is a whole other issue and you need to realise you may become addicted to it like a drug (or like bulemia, it can happen). That may require some behavioural therapy and most psychiatrists are there to diagnose you and prescribe meds. That's fine but you may need a different kind of therapy to help you with actions (behaviours). There really is hope. I know you're not seeing it right now. Just have faith that somewhere out there is hope and keep asking for help until you can grasp it for yourself. Blessings to you.

first think what u doing to urself... i've been in depression at that age, the only person that can help u is urself. you have to think about what u want in ur future. d u want to be in that situation for the rest of ur life? think how many things u could be doing, find some friends, a part time to keep u busy. u did the first step, realizing u have a problem, is there anything in ur mind that is making u do that? life is beautiful if u want it to be, its also hard but u cant only live with great things around u, nothing is perfect. i wish u good luck, and just know that only u can do this, and u can.

You need to figure out what the root of the problem is. Did something happen to you that caused you to feel this way? Know that 10 years from now, or even 5 years from now this will be a distant memory. Right now you have high school to get through, then possibly raise a family! There are people out there that love/will love you and need you. :)

Go back to your doctor and explain what you just explained to us. Dont hurt yourself. We all have ppl in our lives that love us very much and would miss us or feel awful if anything happend. Dont be selfish. Concider the feelings of others. I hope you feel better real soon. Keep your head held high.
