NC was just voted in the top 10 states for job avaibility. If you want to increase your pay, the best way is to increase your skill level. I'm a graphic designer with a BA in Marketing. I have a great job with a good salary, but just like everyone else, I want more pay. That's why I'm going to school at night to learn web design. Are you an EXPERT in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc? Executive Assistants make up to $60K a year. Bottom line: More skills = more pay.

With respect, what can you do? Do you have computer skills, a management background, or what?

RTP has oodles of high-tech employers, who frequently pay far more than 11/hour, but they need people with advanced degrees.
You need to provide more information about the skills that you have.
