is the cause of an early death for one who eats at a restaurant? Once a person starts going, do you believe that chemicals in the food travel to the brain and start making a craving for fast food all the time? Or do you believe truly that fast food (whatever cuisine), people go there every once in a while to get a quick meal, and visit only once or twice a month?

Yes I have thought that for a long time, something in the food is addictive, causing people to crave it as they would a cigarette or alcohol. Perhaps subliminal advertising perhaps. It would be an interesting study.

The issue is that most people are incapable of moderation. People don't realize that it is not the food itself that is the issue, but eating it each and every day in large quantities.

Salad is great for you. But for my little sister who has Crone's Disease, if she eats too much of it it inflames her intestinal track. Chocolate has proven positive health qualities...but not if you eat five pounds of it a day.

Stopping at McDonald's or KFC once in a while for a quick lunch or as a treat is not going to hurt anyone. It's when people eat it all the time and always supersize it that they get fat.

Biologically, "cravings" are caused by nutrients missing from the body. Occassional cravings aren't a big deal and can be triggered by stress and other outside issues, but when you have cravings all the time that means your body is out of balance.

Yes i believe its true aren't the chemicals called msgs or something, found in fast food crisps etc. Apparently if you put this on cardboard and ate it it would taste good. As for the cause of an early death you would have to eat only fast food and nothing else.

I don't think it is actually addictive. It's people's willpower that decides whether or not to eat at a fast food place. People just want to blame anything but themselves most of the time. There are some people that only go out to fast food a couple of times of month. And a lot of people go out of convenience.

I think the fast frying of certain foods will prove to be what is killing us earlier that what we should be living. Fast Frying of Potatoes or even Taro has shown to be extremely high in cancer causing chemicals, do to the rapid change in temperature. This worries me personally.
