i hate elevators and have a phobia of elevators and close spaces. i love to ride the escalator though everytime we go to the mall.

Which ever one is closer to me at the time.
When I was a teenager, we'd try to race on the escalators and go up the down ones and see who got there first!

Escalator, I like to hold myself up with my arms and keep my feet off the steps and see how far I can go before I put my feet down again.
