You can place glass in an opening in an interior wall which can be useful if you have air-conditioning in the house and want to keep the cool air in one of the rooms ~~~ for example if you have a space that normally might be taken by an upright jali panel, you could fill it with plain glass... or you could place it in addition to the jali ....

You could place it along the tops of walls interconnecting two rooms and that will allow for light to enter ~~~~ suppose you have a small interior room right next to a bright, sunny living room and the small room needs more light ... you can place horizontal panels of glass along the top of the wall connecting the two rooms and that will allow light to come into the small room from the living room...in addition, those panels could be moveable so that air may circulate if you wish ~~~

Maybe there is a small vestibule entrance to a restaurant, say ~~~ but it could be in a domestic dwelling (a house or an apartment building) you will have several elements:
1 the entrance door
2 the wall right opposite the entrance door~~~~ about 4 to 6 feet away ~~~~
3 the door that opens into the space (dining room or living room, main reception room, etc.)
4 a window opposite the door mentioned above .... it will let in light and you may see people coming and going in the building ...it can be a beauty spot too... if there are flowers in a larger vestibule to greet the guests as they enter, you may see them through the glass from the room inside the building

Also, If you have a door leading to an interior room~~~ it can be solid or have glass as part of the door panel~~~ you can place long panels of glass on either side of the door for light, or if they move a little, you can open the panels for ventilation while you keep the door shut, according to your wishes ...

You may install a clerestory ~~~(see net for more details) ~~~ like Kerala houses, but filled with glass (it makes a little problem architecturally, because you want to be able to reach them, so there might be a balcony for the second storey which makes that possible ...

You may install a skylight, a panel installed into the ceiling for daylight to enter the room .... (see net for more details)

Don't forget glass bricks .... they are a special effect..

And mirrors, which will give the illusion of more space, or will reflect daylight into a room with little light, or reflect artifical light at night ....

Mirrors are effective if placed behind a light fixture or lantern or lamp .... they make the light twice (?) as strong and give more illumination...

I hope this is helpful!

I'm no specialist but by placing mirrors strategically in your home you can create the illusion of grandeur, makes the room seem bigger and adds character. I did this in my living room because there wasn't enough light, so I tried to find where the light shone in the most and put the mirrors on the wall in that specific area and BAM! The heaven's shine down on me!
My parents bathroom has tiled glass blocks that you can't quite see through but it kinda looks like there's a wave in the wall which I think is totally cool.
Hope someone can provide more information for your presentation, those were just a couple of my personal ideas.
