Most deffo, just saw his antics on tv,,, im in UK too, and i think that hes hoping a tv series might come of this episode,,,,,, not good, wonder what he does to the "crims",,, "please dont kill again boo hoo, i cant handle this anymore etc etc " laughable really, wasnt he an ex cab driver?? dunno but needs a spell in jail to harden him up me thinks lololol
they werent even real tears although he did make the right decision, but it was the only one he could make under the circumstances, if he had given her body to be buried anywhere other than with her son, he would be the villan of the peace as it were, but he should of stayed impartial like our judges ,,,, down to the cells!!!! i think its a shame about anna i really liked her, but he took the spot light off her and made his own charade,,, off with his head etc etc

I am not because he was not hamming it up for the cameras. Lawyers who have appeared before him say he is "eccentric" and this the norm. It was just the first time it was being televised. He was in the Juvenile court and most lawyers who appeared in front of him there said he would sit with a juvenile for an hour and just talk to the child about the trouble they were currently in and what needed to be done. The lawyers said they rarely had repeaters from those who appeared in front of Judge Seidlin.
The first day, I thought he was goofy but by the end of the second day, I respected what he did.
He achieved in that courtroom prior to his handing down his decision something no one thought would have happened. All the parties spoke to each other and agreed the child came first and had a joint press conference. The players in this drama, not the lawyers. Did anyone think that would have happened? No.
He did what a probate judge is supposed to do in contentious cases. Mediate a solution. He did that.
He ruled on the law in the state of FL because the baby is the next of kin, not Anna's mother because of the estrangement, not Howard K Stern because he was not legally married to her. The commitment ceremony that was done in the Bahamas was not even legal by their standards.
Howard K Stern started this whole thing when he petitioned the court to get Anna Nicole's body.
He dug around to find out Anna Nicole's intent on where she was to be buried. The plots in the Bahamas were not in her name and the Svengali Stern was so intertwined in her life, there was no way to know what her intentions were. If he had not been digging around, would the tape in court of Anna in clown face even have shown up? Maybe not.
He also covered his butt and got all facts on the table in the event of an appeal, his decision could not be overturned. He did that. He got information out of Howard K Stern that others had tried and failed to get. Howard lied on the stand and it is the record. This can be crucial in the event there is a criminal investigation.
I look at some of the bozos that we have in the justice system that sit there and act cerebral ( what you might call "normal") and they have come up with the most boneheaded decisions like the Nebraska judge who sentenced the child molester to probation because he was too "short" to go to jail. She acted normal. The judge who thought a woman in Atlanta was being too melodramatic about his lifting the restraining order she had against her estranged husband. He acted normal. BTW, she was set on fire by her husband at her job less than a week after the order was rescinded.

Still, he made the correct decision. Ms. Smith is being buried exactly where she should be. I don't really think he is a bad judge. He may be a little excentric, but look at the whole bizarre tale of Anna Nicole. So really, it fits.

He shouldn't be a judge. He ruled on emotions, cried on the stand and made a mockery of his court room. The county tax money had to pay for him to ramble on about his wife..I don't think so....

It should be over turned. He didn't rule on the law..he ruled on his emotions.

He should take off his robe and give it to someone who deserves to be a judge. Pee Wee Herman could of done a better job than him.

Yes, he's really a joke of a judge. I'm embarrassed for the entire judicial system.

I thought he got off subject and was quite unprofessional at times. But I did think the tears were real. I've never seen anything like it. Another strange chapter in Anna's book.

I think he is a nut case. I dont understand how he doesn't lose his job. Apparently he is not mentally competent to be a judge.

He wants his own TV show. Many lawyers and commentators commented on how terrible he was.

The whole case is not over yet, and it is a circus.

A bit nonconventional, but entertaining.

I thought his advice - although unsolicited - was quite good advice.
