I had eye dilation 4 hours ago and am still sensitive to light, though not painfully so. Can I go hiking outside without sunglasses safely?

No!
You can permanently damage your eyes.

I don't know if it will cause any permanent damage--as I have never done it. I just know that if it is uncomfortable you should probably wear sunglasses. I know my eyes are extremely sensitive for a few hours after.
Also as long as your puplis are back to normal size it shouldn't be such as issue.
I am not a eye doctor so I cannot say for sure but I would take caution just in case.

Visit zennioptical.com ! Clark Howard, someone investigator supports this website. You can aquire a regular set of glasses for $8.00 dollars. They can have transitions, regular tint in numerous colors and you may most likely get a set of prescription shades for a maximum of $15.00 or $20.00 dollars. They're legit...I've bought a set of regular glasses and my colliege has like 10 pairs!
