Faded paint, cracked dashboard and now I hear a knocking/hammering noise coming from the rear passenger side - any idea what that might be? It is most obvious when driving slow

First, get your shocks/struts all checked out. That noise can be irritating when driving slow because that's when they bounce, even on a small bump. If it isn't that, make sure everything in the under carriage is secure and not bouncing.

I swear, driving is like sex. All men think they're good at it. Your NA 3G is over 400 pounds lighter than his 2G NA Spyder, so what do you think? Plus, both of you have the same motor. The 4G64 is a detuned SOHC bored out version of the 4G63, which comes in older evos and other Mitsu cars that haul ***. The motor itself was designed by HKS, Mitsu just bought the design. Not that it means anything, because this is basically the tortoise and the snail. They're both slow as hell, but if it makes him shut up his bragging about his slow *** car that can't even outrun a 4Runner, by all means, hand his *** to him.

Sell it.. Mitsubishi hasn't made a decent vehicle since the 80's.
