can u check if the introduction sounds good i dont know what else to write. it a book report

The book that I have read is Tuck Everlasting. The author of the book is Natalie Babbitt. The book has 139 pages. The characters in the book in the order as they appear are Mae Tuck, Angus Tuck, Winifred Foster, her parents, a man in a yellow suit, Miles and Jesse Tuck, and the Constable or sheriff Tuck Everlasting takes place in the tree gap. This tree is in the middle of the wood where the spring is located.

At the start you have ended the sentences abruptly and it seems as if it was written by a young child. Use connectives and try to include when the book was published, what made it successful, etc. Don't write points which drag on, i.e. listing all the characters in the book. Start off with where the setting is, but don't turn it into a re-telling of the book.
Do you have a plan on what to write for each paragraph? If you don't, you need one.

okay, here's what I would suggest:

I have read Tuck Everlasting, a 139 page novel, written by Natalie Babbitt. Some of the key characters in this book include...(this is where you should try to decide which characters are key to the story, list only those ones) (then describe in detail where the story takes place, where is the tree gap? Is there a town nearby? Do they have to hike to get to it? Why does the story take place at the spring, what major event or turn point takes you to that part of the story? What is the book about?) All these things are important to introducing a book.
Take your time with it, think of one event leading to the next and how the story unfolds for you.
Good luck!

Well, for starters:
Do you know what the plot is? You might want to mention that - not the characters and setting! It would also behoove you not to use the phrase "the book" in each of the first four sentences,

This intro sounds very bad. Two sentences into it I couldn't possible care less. Was it a good book? Did it excite you? What's the plot? C'mon!

If you seriously think that's a good intro, oh my goodness... Please, go rewrite and come back when you have something even remotely decent.
