I tried for about 30 minutes this morning and I just made it worse. Is there any tricks to doing it?

It's all about the corners. First line it up so that the four sides (not top or bottom) Make T's with 5 any colors on each side. Then you have to turn the sides clockwise to complete the .. oh nevermind it's too hard to explain!

solve one color with the colors in the right positions, meaning the corner piece white, blue, red needs to be in the white side, blue side, and red side. Once youv'e done this it'll form 4 T's on the sides connected to the color you just finished. Once you get to this point you're nearly half done, but it gets more complicated and you have to memorize moves so I'm not about to go and tell them all right here right now.
I will say though once you understand how it works its a lot easier to solve it. I can solve a rubik's in about 2 minutes. and it took me a week to figure it out the first time, lol.

take the stickers off the sides of the cube and put the same color stickers on each side of the cube

i'm not sure but you should look it up on google or something.
and sometimes when you buy a rubriks cube they give you a booklet (its small dont worry) that helps you solve it.

supply it to a genius at some highway shows and have them do it for you. or purchase one, do one exchange and redo it. no longer a lot of people can sparkling up it yet there are some books available, i unquestionably discover it impossible yet sturdy success.
