The man has just made a concession to common sense by withdrawing our soldiers from the dangers of Iraq, only to deploy them in a potentially more dangerous situation in Helmand. Is the man completely raving mad or do you think he just likes to think he has an internationally macho image by putting our forces in extreme danger ?

john b : I was recently speaking with some soldiers who had been serving in Helmand. On that day, there was a funeral that day for one of the dead officers. 24 years of age and identified by his DNA. Pride was not the emotion that surfaced. Anger at betrayal by government yes, fury that their comrades were dead as a result of political expediency yes, but sorry not too much pride !!!

Tony Blair is a megolomaniac with no convictions or beliefs. Twenty odd years ago he was a member of the CND and now, lo, he's the most war mongering PM we have ever had. All Labour MPs have a deep seated distrust and dislike of the armed forces. This is clearly apparent in Blairs schizophrenic attitute to them. He keeps them short of money and equipment whilst, at the same time sending them into war zones whenever he feels like it. He is a very dangerous man indeed, delusional and very aggressive.

there is too much information given out to the public now if that's good or bad i don't know, i do know in the second world war those people who were protesting at yesterdays inquest would have been at the very least been charged with treason, it seems to be the same people at these protests dirty unkempt people who by the look of them have never done a days work but sponge off the social security, to get back to the question, you need to be in the shoes of someone who has lost a child to understand the situation,i think the anger is about troops losing their lives needlessly because some of the kit being supplied is inadequate for war, if we do anything it must be to supply our fighting troops with the best kit possible, god bless all our troops, yesterday on the jeremy vine show an iraqi man phoned in and said he would like to shake tony Blair's hand and thank him for saving his country, that to me sums it all up,you can keep everyone happy

First of all trust an American to say ' he is making his serviceman honoured and brave ' what utter tosh,i say bring all our troops home now ,this is not our war either in Iraq or Afghanistan lets leave it to the Americans to sort it out they are the gun culture nation after all and they always boast how good they are so let them get on with it,if we pull out then this might prevent further terror attacks in the UK,never mind America,i think they deserve all they get as they are the war-mongers and that horrible Blair person just seems to love that muppet Bush.

tony blair is the biggest dissappointment of my life! what used to be a not bad country to live in has now turned into one I HATE. my job is a nurse, our NHS once something to be proud of will end soon! we have too many people in this country taking what they are not entitled to, and not enough putting in, to balance the economy! schools are bad, drugs are bad, dont even start me on the housing situation. BLAIR I HATE YOU

No. Bullets and bombs (and car accidents too) kill British troops. It's a risk they accept when the join up. Presumably you want the Taliban back in control of Afghanistan - and are prepared to accept the consequences of that for you and your family?
