wow, I think dimplemom should be my guru.
I pick up first, and tidy.
If the shelves are dusty I dust them, otherwise, I vacuum or sweep. I sweep everyday, or every other day, depending on whether I have the time or not, or how gritty it is outside. I dust once a week, sometimes only once every two weeks. The coffee tables get done more often, since they get really crumby fast. I vacuum the couches once a month and I have someone come in to help once in a while, since both of us work. Sometimes I feel like a zoo-keeper. Having a good filter on our force-air furnace keeps the dust down. Clean the registers and grills once a year.

Well I always do one room a day , like this I have the whole weekend free NO CLEANING, I also use Spontex duster´s which stop the dust from settling back again , so you dust one day & don´t have to dust for the next 3 day´s , So less dusting for me , Hoovering , I do every 2 day´s as I have very few carpet´s but use the DYSON for all the ceramic floor tiles furniture and curtins. so that´s how I do my cleaning, Bathroom´s every day washing everyday , Ironing every second day, Kitchen get´s used everyday, worktops washed down dishes to the dishwasher floor swept and moped , and the whole kitchen has a through out clean every 2 weeks. Silver ware and other ´s once a mouth. widows once a mouth. Have I forgotten anything . No think that´s it More or less that the way I do it

I de-trash my house first. Dusting should be done prior to vaccuming because the dust can then be sucked away. Happy cleaning.

I 'pick up' around the house first. Throw away any trash, and make a stack in each room of what doesn't belong there. Put those things where they belong. Then I vacuum, mop, and dust.
I can't clean all of my house at once due to illness but this works doing a room at a time. I use products that smell good, and light a great candle every day.

I always dust first then vacumn, that way the dust you brush of furniture, etc falls on the floor and is picked up by the vacuum.

Dust then vacuum, that way you can vacuum up any stray dust that you may have swept onto the floor (My mother did it the other way around and I always thought she was crazy!)

Procrastinate
Depend on vacuum - if you have a HEPA vacuum you dust first
an older vacuum you vacuum first because it raises dust, then dust using endust or pledge
