Birth control pills are not over the counter. You must see a medical professional before getting them by prescription only. The reason is because you also need to have a pelvic exam and a pap smear. However, while I do think it is up to you to see to it that you do not get pregnant before you are able to financially and emotionally support a child, you also need to be much more proactive in your own reproductive health. There are incurable sexually tranmitted diseases out there that you must protect yourself from, namely Herpes, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). I'm sure you know about HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. However, you are at much greater risk for Herpes and HPV. The pill WILL NOT protect you from either. Condoms do a better job of that, however, you must also know that you can get these disease from areas on the body of an infected person that a condom will not cover. Herpes and HPV are for life. If you contract one of them, you put not only your health at risk, but also your future fertility. And both are very common in the population. Ask a phamacist how much Valtrex (a Herpes medication) they sell out of their stores and you'll likely find it's one of the top selling drugs they dispense.

you cant get BC pills without a script. You can get condoms. If you dont have the resources to see a MD, go to the health department or planned parenthood clinic in your town. Remember, BC pills only reduce the risk of pregnancy, you should still use condoms to protect against disease.

i don't think you can. you need to see a doctor for it unless if it's morning after pill you can just go to pharmacy that sells it (only selected pharmacy carries it). The only contraceptive over the counter is condom.
