By my best guess, every minute 107 or so people die.

I used that by taking the world's 2006 population (6,525,170,264) and multiplying the death rate for 2006 (8.67 per 1000). I took that and divided by 365 and I took that result and divided by 24 and I took that result and divided by 60.
