pizza popolis there is one in Greektown that is awesome. THere are a few others through out oakland and wayne county.

It is where I eat whenever I am in Detroit for a weekend at the Casinos. I make sure one stop is at Pizza Papalis and the other stop before I head home is in Windsor Swiss Chalet.

For my $, you could go to Pizza Hut. Buddy's is good for a sit-down meal and you could go downtown to Pizza Papalis. They got other locations of Pizza Papalis that aren't downtown in case you don't want to pay for parking (it's a b---h!). Shields' is good too, even though i haven't been in a while. Jets' has good pizza and wings too. If you have a REAL craving (and i have had this for quite sometime now), you should go to Hungry Howies' and pick up a Garlic Crust Pizza w/ sausage and pepperoni! Those are the best!

louis is the pizza to die for.they have been in business ever since i can remember.louis is the original buddies pizza recipe and also shields.if you long for that old taste look no futhur.the salad dressing is the best and everything is homemade and fresh.they are only open wed-sun,11-10.you wont be let down.great prices,pizza,atmosphere and service,very clean and consistant.they are often mistaken for others but there is only one louis..........hes really the king of all pizzas!!! location-hazel park,mich. one block north of nine mile on dequindre.

I also vote for Pizza Papalis in Greektown, although they have other locations that are good.
On the Eastside, Mama Rosa'a in Grosse Pointe Park is fantastic.
For takeout, Mr. C's is the best square pizza around.
