If they still work, you shoudl donate them to Goodwill or something. I'm sure someone without a washer/dryer ould really appreciate that!
Put up a bulliton at a laundromat that says For Sale and be sure to include that they must move them! I'm sure people there are in the market for a washer/dryer! You could make a little money!

If its working you can call salvation army or good will and they will actually come to your house and remove it. Otherwise you would have to call the trash and recycle ppl in your area and find out when they normally pick up "BULK" its normally ones a month and put out your washer/dryer. Good luck!

No, the garbage collector will not take old appliances. Give yourself a tax deduction and donate them to Salvation Army, Volunteers of America, Good Will or Amvets, all will pick it up at your residence. You can also list it on freecycle in your area, but mention whether they work or not.

You can look in your yellow pages and see if you have someplace to recycle them or if there is a local repair facility in your area that rebuilds them and may even give you a few bucks for them if they aren't in really bad shape. Then you can always put them outside at the end of the driveway with a sign that said FREE!

The regular trash will probably not pick it up. Call either your trash company or city hall and ask about large item trash pick up. Many cities have a designated day. Others may charge a fee ($25 or so).

look in the adds in the paper for one that says "we haul appliances" They will probably charge you $35 dollars to haul one appliance to the dump. They have to pay the dump $20 so they are only making $15.

If they still work donate them to the Goodwill. If they don't work you will probably have to dispose of them some other way. The trash collectors usually won't take them.
