Ahman Green will not be back in a Packers uniform. He's aging and has taken a lot of punishment during his tenure with the packers. If he's still on the board, expect the Packers to take Marshawn Lynch. I think he's a better future prospect than Adrian Peterson is. He's a low-to-the-ground runner with great vision and a natural ability to catch the ball out of the backfield or in the slot. Peterson will be good for... 6 seasons, give or take. His upright running style is going to cut his productive years short (see Eddie George). Assuming the Texans go with Peterson, the Packers will be all over Lynch. Whether or not they use him properly is a different story.

Well from alot of reports i was reading on the upcoming Draft the Packers are interested in drafting in the 1st round either a RB or DE, 2nd round RB, CB or WR and 3rd round OG, DE, or possibly a 3rd Down Back. Ahman Green, if he stays will not be a workhorse back anymore. The Packers will be geting atleast a 3rd down back to come in and give the team a boosg and Green a break. The PACK wants another workhorse but this years draft is not that strong in the RB position. Green has lost his step and geting up in age but could possibly start for another year or 2 at most with another team gain about 1100 yards and 8tds. If he stay in Green Bay he will get about 750yards 6tds, Maybe.

I have looked at both of Mel Kiper's first two mock drafts and all three of Todd McShay's mock drafts and they all projected Green Bay as picking Marshawn Lynch with the 16th pick. I think another good idea would be Reggie Nelson the safety from Florida. I watched him about 5 times over the course of the season and he made big plays in each game. He is a speed big play guy who can also match up well in coverage and would make a great pick their for the Pack. As for Ahman Green I think the chances of him being resigned are slim.

There is about an 85% chance that Green is out of GreenBay. He wants to get into the Free Agency market to see what he "really is worth". To answer your other question I think the Packers are going to either try and trade up to get Adrian Peterson or draft a Defensive End.

I'm not sure he's the right kind of back for them. They block for a one cut and go style of back and Lynch is really more of a shifty runner, from what I understand (I never got to see him play).

Green just doesn't produce that well any more. They need to get a good RB and I think Lynch is the man to do it.They need to run it more so Favre doesn't have to throw it 613 times agian.

Gotta be Lynch even if they resign Green...Green's only getting older and they need another dynamic back to change their game up...but a quality safety wouldn't hurt...

Even if they do try for green i think they still will try for a running back in the draft. I heard that if peterson is available that they would like him
