Which one should I buy, the IPOD Nano 8GB or the Video 30GB?

I got a Nano 4GB as a present but I'd like to exchange it for 50 more bucks for eighter the Nano 8GB or the Video 30GB. I don't care about the size or weight, I am not a jogging person, I am just concern about the tons of problems IPOD customers have, specially on the Ipod video, my boyfriend had 2 Ipods video and they both had hardware faliures. Is the Nano a better choice to avoid those problems? or they both have the same technology.

try to ask your boyfriend if its a 5th gen or 5.5 gen cause if its 5th gen then it might be fixed already in the 5.5 gen
