I currently have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 with 128Mb memory, and want one with at least 256Mb+ memory. I do alot of high-end simulations and video renderings, so oviously I need to upgrade. What have you guys tried and like? What should I look out to avoid?

If you are doing renderings and sims, I'd go with the ATI Raedon 9800 Pro. I used the 256 meg for a while, and loved the dual monitors. 3ds max, adobe after effects, premiere, maya, poser, etc. all ran great on it. I upgraded to the 512 meg of same card recently, as the old one I burned out the bearing on the fan after 3 years of use.
Definitely recommend the 9800 though, I've been rendering with one for a while now and love it.
by the way, it runs all my games nicely too, from WoW to Vangaurd to FPS'ers to whatever. Framerate on this card for Wow is about 70 frames per second.

NVidia 8800 GTX!!! of course you need to make sure you have a power supply that can handle it :P

The card you have is the one I used to have and I feel your pain - I upgraded to a Radeon 9600 a couple years ago...been good to me but nowadays you would do much better with something like the Nvidia 7900Gs

Whatever one you get, do NOT get a GeForce 6200 of any brand. That chipset has lots of problems.
