Type of job means the kind of job you are interested in what are you looking for, what do you want to gain ect.

Depending on the application, it usually means part time, full time, seasonal, or temporary. The actual position you are applying for is usually listed as such (desired position, position applying for, etc).

It means "what kind of job". It's looking for a descriptive word. Secretarial, labor, skilled labor, management...etc.

it either means what type of job you were doing such as clerk waiter cook manager ect. or the type of job you want such as cook clerk waiter ect...

maybe they are talking about what field you worked in or are applying for i.e. health care, finance, education etc.
