I think he should get rid of that stupid red underwear and wear a mask like Kyle Rayner / Green Lantern. A blue rubber mask. All superheroes should wear a mask to protect their secret identity.

Yeah, that color scheme's gotta go too. Shows political favoritism. Definitely a mask. Either that or anybody who knows both Superman and Clark Kent is awfully slooooooooooowwwww!

Superman has no need of a mask since as has alread been said people do not think that Superman has a secret idenity. It has already been pointed out that Lex Luthor had a computer tell him that Superman is Clark Kent and refused to belive. However an argument can be maid that Superman dose were a mask as Clark Kent, his glasses. The reason for this is that for most superheros their hero idenity is the adopted persona and their real idenity is the real person but with Superman it is the other way arround.

As far as the underwear thing goes there have been stories in which Superman has a cotume with out the underwere on the outside. Some of these stories are in the real DC universe Electric Red and Blue Superman. Others of these stories are Elseworld stories not set in the main DC universe. I and many others did not like these looks for Superman.

You aren't getting the point of Superman's secret identity... It is the assumption of the general public that Superman doesn't have and doesn't NEED a secret identity. That is why Clark, being 'mild-mannered' is such a perfect disguise, everyone assumes, WHY would a being as powerful and able to do the things that Superman can, ever lower himself to hide amongst us,. humans. (One time Lex Luthor had a computer TELL him that Superman was Clark Kent and he totally didn't believe it and assumed the computer was faulty, because why would Superman 'slum it' as Clark Kent?!?)

And as for the 'red underware', it is based on the strong-men outfits from the circuses of the early part of the century, the style was determined when he was created. ALSO, it is a visual break in the blue of his tights, giving defination to his form.

What's the point of him putting on a mask? Everyone has already seen his face.
