So my friend called me last night saying she thinks she is pregnant. She said the last time she had sex was last week and before that it wasn't for a long while. She is on the pill and they used a condom that didn't break but since then she said her stomach is extremely bloated and gassy. No breast pain, no nausea. Yesterday she said she was peeing a lot and then this week she has a lot of discharge. I asked if she was ovulating and she said yeah it's exactly 2 weeks before her next period. I told her the chances of her being pregnant sound very slim because I never heard of feeling symptoms that early and plus she is on the pill and they used a condom. Do you think I gave her the right answer?...because now I am just not too sure. Thanks!

There is a possibility she could be pregnant. The pill is 99% effective when taken PERFECTLY, I did take it perfectly and I have a four-yr-old to prove it. I have always had symptoms from the first day (within 24 hours of conception). She may be pregnant, but there may be other causes too. She should be seen.

I think that is correct. You will not have symptoms that soon. I if she used a condom and birth control pills I think chances are very slim she would be pregnant. Tell her to take a test if she misses her period just to be sure. It would be to early to test now.

I think you are totally wrong. Yes you can feel symptoms that early. It won't hurt for her to take a test, although if she hasn't missed her period yet it probably won't be very accurate.
