I was an extra in a movie called Broken Bridges and met singer and actor Toby Keith and shook his hand. I was near Kelly Preston and Burt Reynolds who starred in the movie during some of the scenes. I also met singer Bob Segar and got his autograph at a place I used to work at that he was visiting and saw wrestler/actor "The Rock" there too.

Yes I have and most of the time not worth it. Basically celebrities are normal people who are pretty and charming. That whole thing about Hollywood/show biz being just like school but with money? True.

Actually, now that I reconsider it, I would be interested in meeting an author or musician, (whose work I admire) but they tend to be nice and creative.

I have never met a celebrity and I do not plan to either. Are celebrities suppose to be a different species than the rest of us regular human beings that we consider them different or more of an importance? I could care less if someone made millions, if not billions of dollars more than I do. I would rather meet someone who inspires me to be a better person rather than just being plain materialistic.

I've talked to more than several in my lifetime, but mostly politicians and singers, and one actress, but those were in the context of planned events.

My favorite ones I accidentally met were the Mondavi family. Robert, Tim, and the whole clan before a barrel-tasting. I had taken a temp job and they sent me to Krug to serve lunch. I was the only server there, and the Mondavis were very nice and after I was done I got to chat with them a bit.

(OK, Robert, Tim, and Peter were all nice, but the 20-something granddaughter was a complete uppity snot.)

I have had 2 celebrity close encounters.

1st. Timothy Hutton was filming a movie near where I lived. I met the casting director, who invited me to the set. A few feet away from me, was Mr. Hutton's wife at the time, Debra Winger. She was quite heavily pregnant. I had seen Ms. Winger in several movies, and I admired her acting. I smiled at her, and started to approach her to tell her that I liked her. She looked at me, and when I got about 3 feet from her, turned her back. There wasn't a crowd or anything, so it wasn't like she was being mobbed. I then said, LOUDLY, "You must not care about your fans, Winger."

2nd. I saw Dudley Moore at the San Diego Zoo. He was there visiting with his son, but when people began to crowd around him, they whisked him off and got a golf cart for him to ride around in.

I know, not very impressive, but those are my 2 encounters.

I would love to meet a certain few celebrities. Gerard Butler, Barry Manilow, Liv Tyler, Sandra Bullock, The guys from American Chopper, Bruce Willis, and a lot more. Too many to name.

In my case, not yet. But, I want to meet Colin Farrel. He's my most favorite actor and he's presence in the movie makes you move and love him. You know, I have this feeling that he can make any movie; from naked to the moon.
When I meet him, maybe I have to ask him one most important question, "What makes a family happy?"
