I currently am running at 2.1Ghz but would like to upgrade... Also, my CPU is running at around 57C when idle.. is that normal? Do you have any suggestions for upgrading to a water-cooled system? Where can I get one for cheap?

RE: "57c is quire hot, try cleaning out the dust from your heatsink or get a better heatsink/fan"

Yea, I cleaned out all of the dust, and checked my fan and heatsink. I have a good heatsink and a great copper fan set up, and that is why I am worried. I have really good ventilation, and my case rarely gets hotter than 80F on the inside.

Hi. That is the board and processor I use. Great combo! I run a Thermaltake Big Water system http://www.overclockercafe.com/Reviews/cooling/Tt_Bigwater/index.html and use a non-conductive fluid (PC Ice). My CPU is overclocked to 3200+ speed, is stable, runs F@H at 51-53C. 57C at idle means inadequate cooling. Look at after market HSF units. I had used a Volcano 9 with good luck but the fan is a bit loud. Thats why I went with liquid cooling. The AMD Athlon XP 3200+ is the fastest processor that your board will support. You might consider DDR400 RAM (PC3400), also supported by the ASUS board, as an upgrade. Good luck!

Edit: Have you tried Arctic Silver thermal paste to improve the contact of the heat sink with the CPU die? Worked well for me.

You might be able to go with an Athlon 3300+ (I think that's the fastest Socket A Athlon there is). 57c is quire hot, try cleaning out the dust from your heatsink or get a better heatsink/fan. I know TigerDirect has water-cooling kits, pretty good prices too.

you need to have adequate power for those processors. i might suspect the two the recent processor is unsuitable or it fairly isn't any longer the main suitable bus velocity on your motherboard. Processors bus velocity must be supported by potential of the motherboard.
