They hurt because you are inserting it wrong. I cant help you insert it! But read the instructions and buy some KY and lube it up it will slide in easier.

I'll let you know right now, I still don't use any and I am 21 years old. First of all, you are probably stressing about it and tightening your muscles. You need to lie down on the toilet, scoot your bottom off the seat a little, and relax. Also, try the teen slim size first and see if that doens't help. Also, angles have to do with everything. If it hurts bad, try adjusting the angle in which you have the tampon at. Lastly, RELAX!!!!! Good luck and don't worry.

I had the same problem when I was in high school. I now use them regularly. You should get plastic ones first of all. Secondly if you don't get it in far enough it will hurt. It won't get lost in your body so just turn the radio on, take a deep breath and try slowly but firmly.

Buy light or regular flow tampons with a plastic applicator. Those should be the easiest on you. Good luck. I use Playtex and only Playtex.

It is normal to hurt the first few times but it will get easier. Try the smallest size available first and just be patient.

I am not qualified to answer this, as I have different equipment in the plumbing department, but it seems to me that there are other means of protecting yourself from mishaps...maybe try a different product.
Good luck at the beach.

if its in right you will not feel it. are you putting it in the right hole? when you do it relax, and try it a few times, the carboard app. should only be left out a little so when the Tamp is in, you can pull out the carbard app. did you remember to do that?
